Qurbani: Give for the Sake of Allah

Every year, in the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal (camel, cattle or sheep) for Allah and reflect on the lessons from Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام as he was going to sacrifice his son Ismail – for the sake of Allah – when Allah replaced Ismail with an animal.

Udhiyah is one of the greatest rituals of Islam, in which we remember the Tawhid (Oneness) of Allah, His blessings upon us and the obedience of our father Ibrahim to his Lord.

After the animal is sacrificed, its meat is distributed to the poor and needy. For those who are financially able, Udhiyah is a highly recommended Sunnah of our Beloved ﷺ according to the majority of scholars and Wajib (obligatory) in the Hanafi Madhab.

Humanity Care Relief will ensure the Qurbani takes place in accordance with the Islamic guidelines of slaughtering an animal and that your donation reaches the most vulnerable and needy so they too can enjoy Eid al-Adha.
